Let’s Talk Visualization! Visualization is the process of holding a mental image (of God, the self, a symbol, a place, or an event) to obtain physical or spiritual transformation (focus of mind, healing, enlightenment, unity with God)
FACT- Brain studies now reveal that thoughts produce the same mental instructions as actions. Mental imagery impacts many cognitive processes in the brain: motor control, attention, perception, planning, and memory. So the brain is getting trained for actual performance during visualization.
* Visualization TRAINS your brain for the actual act of losing weight.
Don’t beat yourself up for just visualizing YOUR IDEAL BODY for now! Seeing it in your mind and BELIEVING that you can obtain it is half the battle.
Find old pictures of yourself or pictures of other people that have the exact body you see for yourself.
Download a vision board app or print pictures and make a physical vision board.
Put this board(s) places you’ll see it everyday (near your bed, on your bathroom mirror, make it your screen saver!)
Look at this picture(s) as often as possible telling yourself “I love my body” “I am so proud of the work I have done for my body” Speak as if the body is already yours!
Visualize and materialize!
